Your practice text

The sentence you enter and its furigana are processed in your browser. The practice application does not send that sentence to an application server. The page downloads the stroke data and dictionary needed to run.

Voice playback

Sentence audio uses your browser or device’s speech service. Some voices run locally; others may send the text to that service’s provider. Voice processing is governed by that provider’s settings and privacy policy.

Hosting

Cloudflare serves this website and may process technical information such as your IP address and requests to deliver and protect the service. Read Cloudflare’s privacy policy for details.

Advertising and privacy choices

KanjiSteps uses Google AdSense to support free access. Ads can appear after Google approves the site. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, device identifiers, IP addresses, page information and interactions with ads to provide, personalize and measure advertising and prevent fraud. Advertising cookies may support personalization based on visits to this and other websites.

For visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google’s consent message provides Consent, Do not consent and Manage options choices. You can revisit those choices using the Privacy and cookie settings link when available. Declining optional consent does not remove access to practice; limited ads may still be shown where allowed. Blocking advertising scripts does not prevent practice.

Practice text stays in the browser for stroke and furigana processing. Advertising scripts operate on the page and may process page information; avoid entering sensitive personal information into a public web tool.

Optional donations

Donation buttons open PayPal, where you enter payment details and confirm the amount. KanjiSteps does not collect card details. See PayPal’s privacy policy. Donations are optional and do not unlock content.

Crypto donations use the public wallet address displayed on the practice page. Blockchain transactions and associated addresses can be publicly visible. Network fees may apply, and transfers are generally irreversible.

MetaMask extension payments request access to your selected public wallet address and ask the wallet to review a single token transfer. The page does not store wallet addresses or request private keys. Mobile wallet links include the recipient, token and chosen amount. QR codes are generated in your browser. Phantom donations use Solana Pay links or QR codes; this page does not receive confirmation of those app payments. Your wallet provider handles the transaction and may process data under its own privacy policy.
